Monday morning, the day after my birthday and it was a mellow weekend, a little Los Angeles Doyer Baseball in San Diego (man L.A. travels big and represents hard) and a full day dedicated to CARB LOADING.

So how does this tie into Team4orce and all you wonderful folks? Well I bring all this b-day madness up because on Sunday, I was given a mystery surprise package, that included probably a few of the best gifts this man has ever gotten!!!

I WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A QUICK THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AND A SPECIAL SHOUT TO A THE VERY SPECIAL TMZ.

It has come to our attention that American bodybuilding(ABB) has gone under the knife and completely redesigned their packaging on their ready to drink (RTD) sports beverages.

They have come along way as you can see below, the evolution of ABB has not been a short and sweet process. They not only have changed their product design, but they also have changed their logo while completely revamp their entire product line.

This time around the selection of color ways and type is bold and sleek, while boasting a design that is very contemporary and holds well with the current design trends.  The ABB brand has upheld their quality for a very long time and continue to do so. It is not very common for a company to redesign their complete line of products, let alone doing it successfully and doing it numerous times. It takes a while to find a design that will work with the shape of the bottle while it still holds visual appeal to the consumer.

ABB has successfully kept the main focus on the consumer recognizing their logo influencing people to continue to purchase their product line, a true commitment to branding. And for this, ABB has done a great job keeping their brand current and stylish with focus on familiarity, kudos American Body Building.

Here at Team4orce Headquarters we ended our first week of having a blog entry Monday – Friday, and I (Coach Mike aka Argyle) have to say, staying consistent is as rough as working out legs at times, but it sure is a pleasure when it’s all said and done.

So to celebrate our hard work and what is a sign of things to come, we gave ourselves a cheat-meal outing which included; Crumbs Cupcakes and Johnny Cupcakes all in one day.

Here are a some pics of the excursion and the squad in action at some of our favorite spots on Fairfax, ROSEWOOD and La Brea in L.A. ALL DAY

Started at Stussy

Bounced to And Still Los Angeles

Slammed Kay Bee up on the spot

Jumped back into the Darth Raver FJ owned by Madd Manny P.

Landed on Fairfax

Stepped to the Mighty Hundreds Storefront, where the Team4orce shirt I was rocking was given some love…word son

Hit up Diamond, Fame and then Stuck Up another Kay Beezy for sheezy right next Adam Bomb below the Canter’s Deli sign.  Wicked New York styled deli eats by the way if anyone is interested.

Our Next stop was some healthy Mediterranean styled food where we all ordered 3 chicken breast plates (Hoff approved!!!).

Johnny Cupcakes was the last clothing destination, well then the Adidas store, hahaha (can’t stop won’t stop) Had to cop the latest and greatest Johnny Cupcakes Magic Johnson Joint.

So now we had an Undftd Baseball inspired Snap Back hat and a proper J. Cupcakes Basketball inspired tee. Goes to show you that street wear and sports go hand and hand, and Team4orce will always connect those two dots together, it’s what we do!

Our cheat meal took us to Crumbs Bake Shop in Glendale

We ordered the usual insulin spiking assortment of goodies (White Hot Chocolate, The Tried and True Red Velvet) but the big winner of the day was the limited edition cupcake we thought would really fit into the Team4orce Lifestyle, The Tony Hawk Skate Cake.

A portion of our purchase will go to the Tony Hawk Skate Foundation!

That’s what’s up folks, so get down there get one of these cupcakes and glass of milk

The Diamond vs. The Hundreds Baseball collaboration shirt is optional, but I must say it was quite appropriate for the occasion.

It was a long weekend, but we are carb loaded and ready to get back under the bench press and raise the bar of blogging one day at a time.

It’s about midnight and the workday is about to end for us at Team4orce, that’s right, doing work and coming through in the clutch!

My before bedtime ritual, includes a scoop of Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard 100 % Casein Protein. Now I know at least half of you use one of ON’s newly redesigned products (I’m guessing:  Opti-Men/Opti-Women, Gold Standard 100% Whey or Pro-Complex). ON can be found on the top 10 most popular supplements to purchase and we definitely think their new designs are on point and proper fo sho.

We have picked Optimum Nutrition as our second installment of PROPERganda, and without any further delay, lets hand this one over to the man with the madd plan, Mr. Madd Manny P.

Lets take a look at another supplement company that is taking their branding and design on there products to the next level. Optimum nutrition has been around for  over 22 years and is well known for their ongoing best-selling status of ON Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein. A lot has changed since the beginning of there early product design.  As you can see below there current design has come along way  from their throwback days. Their current product design is very slick and modern and easy to distinguish. The color pallets and fonts are bold and on point. The one  one thing you notice are the simplicity of the product, the name of each product is bold and easy to read. But one thing you must take notice is that despite having a nice looking brand the one thing that matters is the quality of their products.

The Sports Nutrition market has had it’s share of funky fresh concepts that have pushed the right buttons, and it has had it’s share of flops.

Both Manny and myself enjoy bugging out on great designs and we can appreciate when a company takes the time to pay close attention to detail and really comes correct with proper designs, packaging concepts and great tag lines to fuel the consumer’s fire.

With that said we’d like to introduce the “PROPERganda” segment of our blog; an on going blog saga which will simply shine the light on some of our favorite sports nutrition product designs from the past and the present.

We know how important propaganda is to marketing a brand and we here at 4orce headquarters happen to have our very own mad design scientist, Mr. Manny P. aka Madd Manny, on the case, to breakdown some of Team4orce’s favorites.

There are a few of you guys out there that have been taking supplements for a while now. At one point in time you probably held the animal pak by universal nutrition and looked at the pack of pills thinking what the hell is this stuff. For starters this supplement was advertised as your  all in one pack of  daily vitamins needed for the active person. Over the years I always looked at the design and always wondered why it was so basic and very old school school looking. When Universal decided to change the package design and go with the current design I thought it was brilliant.  There branding on the entire line is flawless and very eye catching. There  2 color palette and selection of fonts used in the package design make it unique in its class. If you pay close attention below you can actually see a picture of person with his back turned.  Most companies settle for cheesy graphics without any type of branding involved but non the less universal nutrition combines a simple but bold approach to there complete animal line . Next time you are visiting a supplement store take a look at the products and decide for yourself.
